This is What Happy Looks Likes by Jennifer E. Smith
I wasn't blown away by this at all, and I found myself skimming paragraphs and just wanting to get to the end.
Summary;
When teenage movie star Graham Larkin accidentally sends small town girl Ellie O'Neill an email about his pet pig, the two seventeen-year-olds strike up a witty and unforgettable correspondence, discussing everything under the sun, except for their names or backgrounds.
Then Graham finds out that Ellie's Maine hometown is the perfect location for his latest film, and he decides to take their relationship from online to in-person. But can a star as famous as Graham really start a relationship with an ordinary girl like Ellie? And why does Ellie want to avoid the media's spotlight at all costs? (summary taken from Goodreads)
Reading the synopsis i thought it would be a bit like Stephanie Perkins Anna and the French Kiss novels but I was mistaken, there's nothing "wrong" with the story but it didn't feel like it particularly went anywhere either.
**Mini Spoilers Here**
The book is either Ellie walking around town with Graham or her contemplating going to find her father and at the end of the book she's still just sitting around chatting to Graham and hasn't really gotten anywhere with her dad. I was kinda like well what was the point?
With the high ratings on Goodreads I thought this would have been much better.
That in mind I would suggest making up your own mind on if this book is for you.
